Kim Dong opens first bookstore

The central press publishing company cooperated with Kim Dong Publishing House to open the first Kim Dong Bookstore at 43 Ho Van Hue Street in HCMC’s Phu Nhuan District on Sunday.

The bookstore has over 2,000 book titles published by the publishing house, ranging from comics to stories and research books for children and adults. A corner of the bookstore is devoted to 79 book titles of Nguyen Nhat Anh, an incisive writer of stories for teenagers and adults, to mark the 15th birthday of his best known 45 volume series Kinh Van Hoa (Kaleidoscope).



In the future, Kim Dong Publishing House will set up more bookstores with areas to honor Vietnamese authors who have made lifetime contributions to Vietnamese literature. The state publisher and Kim Dong signed a strategic cooperation agreement last year to build cultural places to supply books and magazines for children and their parents.

The shop has 20-30% discounts this month.
